I received my Burger and Slider Slabs yesterday and went straight to the butchers this morning to get my mince. Yes I was just a little bit excited to try these out!!
I make burgers almost every week, I find it’s an easy way to sneak veggies into my very fussy kids. I wanted to see if these would make the whole process easier and the simple answer is YES!

The Burger Slab makes 8 x 150g burgers, and the Slider Slab makes 7 x 80g burgers so I put them both to the test. I followed the recipes on the back (see picture in comments below), but i substituted the parsley for carrot, as all hell would break loose if the dreaded ‘green things’ were detected by my little ones 😉 I combined all the ingredients in a bowl, then simply squished the mixture into the non-sectioned tray and spread it around to the edges. It was the perfect amount. Then I popped the sectioned lid on top and pushed down in order to cut the burger portions. I thought that it may be difficult to do this as the mixture was full to the top, thought it may all come out the sides when I pushed the lid down but it worked perfectly! The process was exactly the same for the burgers and sliders. I popped them into the fridge for a couple of hours (they recommend you leave in fridge for at least one hour). To get the burgers out you just need to turn the tray upside down and pop them out. I had visions of it all being stuck to the tray and having to scrape it out but it came out very easily… I was very chuffed with myself 🙂 The burgers all came out perfectly formed and held together. I took half of them out to cook and put the rest back into the trays and placed in the freezer for one of those days I can’t be bothered to cook. I cooked the burgers on our George Foreman grill, and long story short they were very tasty, maybe slightly over cooked, which was my fault!!

Do I recommend this product? A definite yes. It did exactly what it said it would do 🙂

    – It saved me time assembling burgers

    – All the burgers were the exact same size (which helps make sure they all cook evenly

    – Great for portion control

    – Can pop the whole thing in the freezer for another day!

    – Perfect for Burgers, Fish Cakes, freezing leftovers or baby food

    – Its freezer safe, dishwasher safe, BPA free and made of food grade safe silicone
